Text Version Of This Divi Tutorial

Hello, this is Jimi Blevins.

Today I’m going to show you how to utilize the “Text Module With The Divi Visual Builder.

So, hang on to your hats kids, because this one is going to be intense! :)
I think this is probably the most basic module on here, but there’s a lot of cool things you can do with the text module.

Now, I use this, of course, anytime I want to display a bunch of texts.

We’re going to grab some text here, get about three paragraphs:

We’ll just paste that into the “Content” section.

We’ve got all of our normal design settings, and you’ve got all these tools to work in your “Text Editor.” I want to show you something cool about the Divi Builder that comes up for this.

So, again, getting into the “Design.”

We can do a “Max Width.”

If I only want this text to be halfway across the page, I can do that, you can take care of that in your columns as well if you want to, “Header Font Size.

Now, if I come back into the “General” settings,  in here to the “Content” section, I’ll show you this really quick.
Let’s say I write “Text Module,” and then I change that to a “Heading 1.”

If I come to them in the “Design,” then this is where I can change the settings for my “H1 Tag,” so I can make it a different color if I want to. I can also make it bold.

I’ve got the “Text Font, Text Font Size,” and everything. (Not going to play around too much with the text or add a background image.)

All this stuff’s pretty standard.

What I do want to show you is this: now if I click off on this and I’m just in here messing around, I can just click anywhere in this module and actually start editing the text.

So, I can make it bold, italic, just right here.
I really really like this about the Visual Builder.

I can change the color, the font, size, and some of these actually break down in their own menu.
Such as, “Text Alignment,” I can do centered, justified, and I can also do list bullet point.

Here’s where I do my indentation or block quotes is right there.

A lot of great features that you’ve got right there built in, so I don’t have to even bring up the module or edit the settings. I can edit the text right there on the page. (Which I think is really cool.)

Again, like I said, this is one of the most simple modules that they’ve got. The text module is a great way to kind of get around some of the limitations that the Divi Builder or any builder has, as you can get in here and you can add your h1, h2 tags, you can add pictures, and video and you can also kind of mess around with the code a little bit. If you’re doing some custom coding or pasting, and some JavaScript, and do not do that with a text module, Divi has a code module for that because if you do it in the text module, WordPress is going to go in and take out all the things it doesn’t like. So just a side note for you there, that one was free. ;)  Lol.

That covers everything with the “Text Module.”

Once again, my name is Jimi Blevins and thank you so much for watching.
